£26,265 to £28,701 per annum, inclusive of £2,472 per annum Distant Islands Allowance

The position of Entitlement and Assessment Assistant is required by the Strategic Finance Department to ensure that all information received and disseminated, whether verbal, written or electronic concerning all employees, prospective employees or service users is treated in the strictest confidence and that all such information held is regulated and controlled in a similar manner in compliance with Data Protection legislation.

You will have an HNC or relevant work experience together with experience of financial management systems and undertaking financial assessments.

In addition, you must have knowledge of state benefits; good customer service skills; the ability to handle situations where customers may be upset, angry or aggressive; the ability to explain entitlement and assessment clearly to customers; the ability to work on own initiative.

Salary for the above post if inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment to the post will be on first point of grade with annual incremental progression.
