Summary

Are you a compassionate and experienced healthcare professional looking to take the next step in your career?
We’re looking for a dedicated Day Senior Healthcare Assistant to join our warm and supportive care home in Erdington, Birmingham.

Our home provides specialist care for adults with Dementia, Learning Disabilities, Autism, Epilepsy, Mental Health conditions, Complex Needs, and individuals requiring PEG feeding. If you have experience in any of these areas and a passion for person-centred care, we’d love to hear from you.

What You’ll Do:

1. Lead and motivate the care team during your shift
2. Administer medication safely and in line with protocols
3. Deliver personalised care tailored to individual needs
4. Support residents with PEG feeding and other nutritional needs
5. Promote dignity, independence, and choice in daily care
6. Maintain high standards of health & safety throughout the home
7. Perform regular wellbeing and safety checks
8. Assist at mealtimes – preparing snacks or providing support with feeding
9. Use manual handling equipment safely and confidently
10. Keep accurate records (daily logs, care charts, etc.)
11. Build meaningful relationships with residents and team members

Your Set Rota (12-Hour Day Shifts):

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Week 3: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 4: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
**To be considered, you must be able to commit to this rotating schedule**

What You’ll Need:

1. Previous experience in a senior care role (essential)
2. Level 2 OR 3 Health & Social Care qualification
3. Experience with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, and PEG feeding
4. Medication administration knowledge and experience
5. Confident in using manual handling equipment
6. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
7. A positive, proactive attitude and a team player mindset
8. Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
