Summary
Job Overview:
This is a term time only role, between 35-37 hours per week.
Due to internal promotions, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee the operations of our nursery. The Nursery Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities, ensuring the development and well-being of the nursery children and staffing team , and providing exceptional customer service to our families. This is a leadership position that requires strong organisational skills, child development knowledge, and a passion developing children and the setting team.
This role would be ideal for a deputy manager looking for the next step in their career.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the nursery,
- Supervise and train nursery staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Ensure the health and safety of children through proper planned activities to meet the children's needs within the early years framework
- Maintain accurate records of the children's and staff's development within the setting
- Develop and implement strategies to increase attract new families
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers, i.e. answering questions, and offering advice etc
- Oversee the maintenance of the nursery grounds, including the outdoor area and cleanliness within the setting
Experience:
- Previous experience in a nursery management role is required
- Strong knowledge of care techniques, inclusion and SEN needs
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to assist families
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage inventory and maintain accurate records
- Knowledge of childcare trends and best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
