Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Busy Bunnies Nurseries - Hampton Water.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced practitioner looking for that next step to run a room and join a management team. This role will involve leading the room and staff, planning day to day activities and supporting the senior management team.
Duties
Manage daily operations of the setting/room, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Drive the educational curriculum, promoting engaging activities that support children's development.
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and wellbeing.
Lead nursery staff, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children.
Observe and assess children's learning and development, maintaining accurate records.
Collaborate with other professionals to enhance the quality of care provided within the nursery.
Ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to consistently.
Skills
Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive working environment.
Experience working with children of various ages, demonstrating patience and empathy.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining records and documentation.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making within the nursery context.
Must have a full and recognised childcare qualification - minimum level 3
