Join a Precision Engineering Leader
We’re seeking a skilled Rolling Mill Setter Operator to join a leading manufacturer of precision-engineered bimetal strip materials used in fuse and switching applications around the world. Based in Redditch, you’ll work with advanced cold-cladding processes to produce high-performance Silver-Copper and Silver-Brass materials rolled to ultra-fine thicknesses — as low as 75 microns.
Key Responsibilities
• Set up and operate cold or hot rolling mills
• Measure and control material thickness using precision tools
• Monitor and adjust machinery during production to ensure optimal performance
• Perform in-process quality checks and maintain accurate records
• Assist with material handling and routine equipment maintenance
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, and quality compliance
What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience operating rolling mills in a manufacturing setting
• Strong attention to detail and confidence working with tight tolerances
• Skilled in using micrometres and other precision measuring tools
• Familiarity with non-ferrous metals such as Silver, Copper, and Brass (preferred)
• A team-oriented, dependable individual with a strong safety mindset
