Summary
The Royal Free is a highly specialist hospital with an array of specialities managing complex patients. The workload on PPU reflects this complexity so the postholder should be qualified with at least 2-3 years post Foundation Years experience and currently working at Registrar / Senior Clinical Fellow (or equivalent) level. They should be able to manage routine clinical tasks in complex patients, have excellent time management skills and manage medical emergencies. They should at least Intermediate and preferably Advanced Life Support accreditation. Familiarity with electronic patient records and prescribing would be an advantage.
