Summary

University of Sheffield
Are you passionate about communicating research to wide and diverse audiences, and working as part of an interdisciplinary team? We have an exciting opportunity to join the University of Sheffield as a Knowledge Exchange Associate, taking part in the major new ESRC-funded project ‘Planning for Nature’ that assesses the biodiversity loss associated with urban development, and improves outcomes for nature. The role offers an outstanding opportunity to identify, shape, and communicate research findings in this critical and high-profile area of policy and practice.
We are seeking someone who is dedicated and skilled in working with diverse academic and non-academic communities to share research and influence policy. Working with the rest of the project team, you will use your skills in communicating research to develop written and verbal content for a variety of audiences, including policymakers, politicians, professionals, and communities. You will have a keen interest in developing networks and finding opportunities to generate research impact, and you will bring your organisational skills to support liaison with our project partners and Advisory Board. Joining our research team, we will provide opportunities to grow your skills in research communication and work with researchers from a range of areas.
The position offers the successful candidate a chance to benefit from a large, vibrant and supportive Early Career Researcher community, and inter-disciplinary collaborations with other project members based in the School of Planning and Geography.
Applicants must have a PhD (or have equivalent work experience) in a relevant discipline along with a clear commitment to promoting research to a wide range of audiences.
We are committed to equality and diversity, and will consider hybrid and flexible working arrangements and to make reasonable accommodations where possible.
