Summary
**FEMALE SUPPORT WORKER REQUIRED**
* We are looking for an experienced Support Worker/Personal Assistant, with experience working with children/young adults with ASD, to support a 17 year old young lady to access arts and crafts and social opportunities for 8 hours per week.
* We are offering 8 hours per week. Hours would be mutually agreed with occasional weekend hours, could be either day and up to 3-4 hours to support her to access and engage in fun social opportunities.
* Due to mobility issues, she does use a wheelchair sometimes. She can exhibit some challenging behaviour when she does not want to do something, normally sitting on the floor and refusing to move, so it is important to follow the clear and calm strategies which are in place and work well to motivate her.
* A clean driving licence and use of your own car with correct insurance is essential to be able to take her to social activities.
* A good communicator is essential to support mum who has a hearing impairment to manage situations well and for clear communication.
**Rate of pay:**
* £13 per hour 4 weeks paid holiday (pro rata) plus bank holidays is applicable, as is access to a workplace pension.
**Due to the sensitive nature of this role, we will be considering female applicants only for this post in accordance with the provisional of the Occupational Requirement (Equality Act 2010) pursuant to schedule 9 part 1**
