We have a great opportunity for a Project Manager working with a fit-out contractor on education projects in the South Kensington area.
About the role of Project Manager
We are looking for a dedicated client facing Project Manager to work on a £500k education fit out project, involving the management of in-house design team, Whitebox, furniture fitting along with small mechanical services works. It is essential that the Project Manager is client facing, well-presented and commercially minded, excellent at QA, and have a solid understanding of fit out packages.
The project is working on canteen and classroom areas of a private school involving light alteration works and a complete internal fit out.
You will be reporting to the Operations Director intermittently to update progress. Whilst managing the site & managing the program, you must also be maintaining a high standard of health & safety while ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget.
Requirements for the Project Manager
- Have education / schools fit out experience.
- Ability to manage a program, writing short term look ahead and inserting drop lines
- Longevity in roles with some of the contractors in the industry
- Have experience in delivering commercial fit outs
- Experience and understanding of the floor plate of the building
- Understanding of programs and ability to handle minutes efficiently
- Experience successfully running fit out projects as a Site Manager on commercial projects
- Interpersonal skills so you can get on with the rest of the team
- SMSTS, First Aid, and Black Card/NVQ Level 6 certs
- DBS Cleared
