Summary
12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Reporting to the Head of EU Supply Chain the Project Manager for EUDR Compliance will be responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation of processes, systems, and tools necessary to ensure UCC Coffee meets the requirements of the EUDR. This includes leading cross-functional teams, developing and maintaining compliance frameworks, and ensuring traceability and transparency within our supply chain. You will be key to ensuring UCC Coffee stays ahead of regulatory changes and maintains its commitment to sustainability.
The Role:
Project Management: Lead the end-to-end project lifecycle for EUDR operational compliance, ensuring all milestones are met on time. This includes planning, executing, and monitoring progress across all UCC manufacturing sites.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Operations, Supply Chain, Sustainability, and IT) and external partners to develop a comprehensive strategy for EUDR compliance.
Compliance Framework: Design and implement processes and tools to ensure UCC Coffee complies with EUDR regulations, focusing on deforestation-free sourcing, traceability, and transparency.
Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks related to EUDR compliance, ensuring mitigations are in place to avoid non-compliance penalties.
Training & Awareness: Provide guidance and training to relevant internal teams on EUDR requirements, compliance procedures, and best practices for maintaining traceability in the supply chain.
Reporting: Develop and manage reporting systems to track and measure compliance progress, ensuring regular updates to senior management and relevant regulatory bodies.
Technology Implementation: Collaborate with the IT team to implement new systems and tools that support compliance, including traceability platforms and data management systems.
Continuous Improvement: Monitor changes in regulations and industry best practices to ensure UCC Coffee maintains its leadership position in sustainable sourcing and remains compliant with evolving regulations.
The Person:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Environmental Science, Business, or a related field. Relevant certification in Project Management e.g., PMP (Desirable).
Ideally with proven experience in project management, with a focus on sustainability, regulatory compliance, or supply chain management.
Strong understanding of the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) and other sustainability-related regulations in the supply chain (Desirable).
Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects in a EU matrix organization.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with senior leaders, external stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving and risk management skills.
Experience with traceability tools, data management systems, and sustainability-focused technology solutions is highly desirable.
Role will involve some travel.
Hybrid working available after successful induction.
