Salary: Up to £30,000
A specialist manufacturer of chemicals based in Northamptonshire are currently recruiting for a temporary Works Chemist with the contract finishing February 2026. The company develop next-generation sealers and lacquers. This is a great opportunity to gain some great experience within the chemicals/materials sector. This role is starting ASAP with a salary of up to £30K depending on experience.
Role:
- Work independently within a small, dynamic team,
- Help with new product development and reformulating existing products
- Assist with technical support activities
- Conduct QC and evaluation tests
- Maintain accurate records of test results
- Troubleshoot and solve technical challenges
- Assist with scale up to production
Person:
- Recent degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or a related field, or equivalent laboratory experience.
- Strong practical laboratory skills.
- Excellent organisational and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative.
