Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs? We're looking for several committed and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistants to join a highly respected specialist school near Dorking, Surrey.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils aged 5-19 with complex needs, including social communication difficulties and learning disabilities, in a setting that blends education with therapeutic support. Please note: a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential, due to the school's rural location.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll be at the heart of helping pupils access tailored learning and develop vital life skills. With small, ability-based class sizes (typically 5-11 pupils), you'll provide consistent support in both academic and practical subjects - from literacy and numeracy to gardening and cookery. Lessons are often delivered using a multi-sensory approach, and some pupils may use Makaton, symbols, or communication devices to communicate.
You'll play a key role in:
