Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting pupils with additional needs in 1:1 or small group settings
• Assisting teachers and SENCOs in delivering tailored interventions
• Encouraging emotional regulation and building social skills through structured activities
• Helping children overcome barriers to learning in a calm, consistent way
• Contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
• Liaising with educational psychologists and external specialists where appropriate
• Observing behaviour and tracking progress to support personalised learning plans
• Participating in wider school life and enrichment activities

Graduate Psychology Teaching Assistant – What We’re Looking For:

• A 2:1 degree or above in Psychology or a related subject
• A strong interest in supporting children with special educational needs
• Any prior experience (paid or voluntary) working with young people or vulnerable groups is desirable
• Empathy, patience, and emotional intelligence
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• A willingness to learn and take initiative
• Aspirations to work in psychology, education, or SEN-focused roles
