Summary
Job Title: Material Handler
Location: West Bromwich
Contract Type: Permanent
Hourly Rate: £12.50 -£15.25
Working Hours: 39 hours per week (2-week rotating shift pattern)
Shift Pattern:
. Week 1:
o Monday to Thursday: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
o Friday: 6:00 AM - 1:00 PM
. Week 2:
o Monday to Thursday: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM
o Friday: 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Role Overview
We are currently seeking a proactive and reliable Material Handler to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe movement of raw and finished materials, supporting production flow, and maintaining a clean and organised working environment. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that materials are available at the right place and time, keeping production running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
. Safely transport finished goods to designated stock areas.
. Move raw materials to the appropriate machines in preparation for production.
. Maintain up-to-date and accurate production and quality records.
. Ensure the work area is clean, organised, and compliant with 5S standards.
. Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
. Comply with all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
. Carry out any other duties as reasonably assigned.
Requirements
. Experience handling materials within a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
. Familiarity with material handling equipment (e.g. pallet trucks, forklifts - if licensed).
. Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality.
. Positive attitude and motivated to meet targets and deadlines.
