Summary
The Business/General Manager will have responsibility for the delivery of specific performance targets alongside the delivery of a portfolio of initiatives as specified by the Quality Director. The post holder will deputise for the Quality Director as required.
The post holder will provide support and guidance to the NUH Review Response Team to enable them to achieve the objectives of their roles.
The role is accountable to the Quality Director on behalf of the Chief Nurse.
This is a key role in the team responsible for the Trust’s response to the requirements of the IMR.
Leadership:
To provide visible inspirational leadership so that all staff in the NUH Review Response Team are engaged and motivated to provide the appropriate information to the Independent Review Team.
To foster a culture that promotes openness and where people have the confidence to speak up ensuring that communication mechanisms are operating effectively in the wider NUH Review Response Team.
To provideleadership in the management and delivery of change. This will include working with targeted specialties within the pathway.
To identify business opportunities to sustain existing services and develop new business.
developments which will create quality benefits for patients, staff and the Division including additional income.
To support theQuality Director in the delivery of the strategic and annual plan for the NUH Review Response ensuring it is consistent with the aims and objectives of the Trust and ensure that the plans fully reflect the priorities and needs of both the Programme and the Nursing and Midwifery Directorate.
Provideleadership in the management and delivery of change. This will include working with all areas across the Programme.
To support the Core Team, and others where appropriate, in training and developing skills and expertise in core subjects appropriate to the role.
To provide day to day line management of the Core Administration Team.

Performance and Delivery:
To support theQuality Director in the delivery of targets across quality, risk, and governance.
To provide operational oversight and management of the programme when deputizing for the Quality Director.
To monitor proactively performance against the KPIs of the Programme.
To support the Quality Director in the development and preparation of business cases and workforce plans.
To be the link between the Programme and the Clinical Service in relation to the service improvement process, providing co-ordination of the process to transition to business as usual.
Finance:
To support the Quality Director in the delivery of the Financial Efficiency Programme.
To work with the Finance Business Partner to develop and delivery financial plans, liaising with key managers across a range of cost centres and departments linked to the programme.
To monitor programme budgets and support budget setting across the programme.
Reporting/Communication:
To draft reports for Trust level committees on behalf of the Quality Director and the Chief Nurse/SRO.
To liaise with external bodies, such as NHSE and the external review team as required on behalf of the Quality Director.
To be the point of contact with the Communications Business Partner to ensure that programme matters are appropriately disseminated across the Trust.
