About the role:
We are looking to recruit a Kitchen assistant to join our caring team at Delamere Primary Academy todeliver nutritious, well-balanced meals each day. You'll need to be passionate about providing high qualitymeals using fresh ingredients from local suppliers.
Candidates must be friendly, professional, able to work independently and put the needs and safety of thechildren at Delamere Primary Academy at the centre of their role.
Your Duties will include
● support in the preparation, cooking and serving of meals for consumption both on and off the premises,including special diets.
● support in ensuring all health and safety/standards are adhered to following company guidelines andstandards..
● support in the receipt and storage of all deliveries for the kitchen.
● support the managing and recording of stock control.
● support in the provision of catering for special functions such as PTA events, theme days etc. as required.
● Responsible for and assisting with the serving of meals.
● Conform to menu guidelines including the government’s food based and nutritional standards.
● To ensure that the kitchen and dining areas are maintained to a clean/hygienic and safe condition.
You will be working alongside a forward-thinking team of leaders, teachers and support staff who
foster a collaborative approach to working. We foster an environment where you will be respected,
supported and valued, we recognise the importance of staff wellbeing and connectedness and
actively promote this within the school community.
