The role:

As Business Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing various aspects of the site operations, including financial management, business development, strategic planning, and team management. You will deliver effective & safe services to maximum operational efficiency, within budget and to agreed standards.



Key responsibilities:

Ensure the safety, well-being, and inclusion of all employees while fostering a positive and engaging work environment
Lead, mentor, and develop talent through setting performance goals, conducting evaluations, and providing ongoing feedback and training
Implement and monitor people management processes and operational performance to drive continuous improvement in line with company policy
Develop and maintain a customer excellence culture focused on exceeding service expectations while managing people, assets, and operations efficiently
Collaborate closely with Local Sales Teams to drive growth, innovation, and change, ensuring compliance with requirements
Oversee fleet management as Nominated Transport Manager 2, deliver clear business performance reporting, and implement operational efficiencies through digital tools and cost control
Oversee site budget and resource allocation, focusing on efficient disposal and recycling solutions, while monitoring financial performance to identify cost-saving and revenue growth opportunities
Develop and implement strategies for profitability improvement, business expansion, pricing, and contract negotiation, ensuring compliance standards
Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and regulatory bodies, monitor competitors, and communicate business strategies effectively to enhance market presence



What the client is looking for:

IOSH Managing Safely qualification
Level 3 Leadership & Management or equivalent work experience
Advanced business acumen, financial management, relationship management, informed decision making, and IT proficiency
Proficient in effective communication and time management
Foundational knowledge of project management
Strong leadership with experience in performance and talent management
Expertise in strategic planning, risk management, and fleet management
Excellent team leadership skills, able to motivate and inspire others
