Summary
Job Title: Technical Sales Engineer
Location: Redditch, UK (Hybrid Working Considered)
Salary: Up to 335,000 per annum
Working Hours: 39.2 hours per week
Our client is a globally recognised leader in industrial electrical technologies, is currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Technical Sales Engineer to join their UK team. The role is ideal for a driven individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced, technical environment with a strong customer focus.
As an Internal Technical Sales Engineer, you will play a vital role in managing sales enquiries, developing technical solutions, and supporting clients with high-quality, tailored advice.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and triage incoming sales enquiries.
• Create and issue technical and commercial offers.
• Interpret customer specifications and propose fit-for-purpose technical solutions.
• Follow up on enquiries and ensure a smooth handover of orders.
• Own and resolve customer queries efficiently, including pricing, stock availability, and alternative solutions.
• Liaise with global colleagues across multiple departments and facilities.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Support technical meetings, training sessions, and client visits when required.
About You
• A strong working knowledge of Electric Motors, Geared Motors, Variable Speed Drives, and related industrial automation/power transmission equipment.
• A minimum ONC (or equivalent) qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience in a technical sales or internal sales engineering position.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to stay composed under pressure and meet key performance targets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is a bonus.
• A proactive mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively.
