Summary
Your roles and responsibilities:
- In partnership with the Paralegal Business Manager (PBM) and Unit Head/District Crown Prosecutor, you will analyse performance data to ensure effective case progression.
- You provide quality assurance monitoring for the Case Management System (CMS), dealing promptly with any issues arising from these reviews and ensuring cases progress through to finalisation.
- you manage casework assistants and all duties performed by casework staff.
- You monitor compliance with systems and processes to ensure that casework and administrative functions are delivered efficiently and effectively.
- You complete quarterly performance and development reviews in accordance with the personnel management manual.
- Completing annual performance and development review forms and probation reports within the specified timescales.
- You use the Crown Prosecution Service case management system and other IT tools to communicate and conduct Crown Prosecution Service business.
- You deal with general correspondence as well as more complex enquires.
- Contacting police officers, court advocates, prosecution counsel, judiciary, defence solicitors, victim support and members of the probation service.
