Summary
The Bat Conservation Trust (BCT) works across many sectors to help all those whose work or volunteering brings them into contact with bats. Bat groups, independent of BCT, are made up of many dedicated volunteers undertaking vital front-line conservation work. BCT is recruiting a Bat Groups Officer to facilitate our relationships with bat groups; provide pro-active support to the Partner Group network; and promote effective communication between organisations, reflecting the essential role that bat groups play in bat conservation in the UK.
Applicants should have experience of working in the wildlife sector with volunteers, managing programmes of work, and delivering training to a variety of audiences. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of work experience, a good level of knowledge of bat ecology and conservation with practical experience, have delivered training, be highly efficient and self-motivated, with excellent communication, administration, and networking skills.
This post requires regular travel across England, and less frequent travel to Northern Ireland, Channel Islands and Isle of Man. This role is based at BCT’s main office in Battersea, London; however, there is an opportunity to work from home in England, subject to discussion with the successful candidate.
If you have the passion and experience to join our team, please view the job description and person specification on our website.
