Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and supervisory support to Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, and other clinical and non-professional staff across Southwark’s Adult Social Care teams.
Support the Team Manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, and strength-based services aligned with best practice and statutory responsibilities.
Oversee and guide the completion of person-centred assessments, reviews, and interventions that enable independence and well-being.
Contribute to and support court work, safeguarding processes, and professional decision-making where required.
Act as a role model and expert practitioner, promoting reflective practice, continuous learning, and team development.
Ensure services meet the needs of Southwark residents across teams including Ageing Well Southwark (Contact), Assessment & Intake, Hospital Discharge, Case Management, Reviews, Telecare, Sensory, Business Support, and Intermediate Care.
Essential Requirements:
Degree/Masters in Social Work and SWE registration.
At least 2 years post-qualification experience in adult social care.
Experience supervising or managing social work or multi-disciplinary teams.
In-depth knowledge of UK Adult Social Care legislation, safeguarding practice, and strength-based approaches.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Right to work in the UK.
