It starts with you.

The ideal candidate will need reconciliation knowledge from a similar finance position, a solid grasp of the accounting concepts pertaining to cash management, and familiarity with common Windows applications. You will have excellent time management abilities, financial system knowledge, computer literacy, accuracy, and strong communication skills.

To succeed as one of our Cash & Banking Administrator, you will need to:

  • Maintain the cash books within our various business areas.

  • Complete the bank reconciliations within the monthly deadlines, comparing the posted transactions against the bank statement, identifying any discrepancies between the two.

  • Investigate any discrepancies found during the reconciliation process. This may involve contacting the bank to clarify transactions or checking internal records for errors.
These may include deposits, withdrawals, cheques, transfers, fees, and other charges.

  • Ensure that suitable internal controls are implemented to protect business resources and prevent fraud or mistakes throughout the reconciliation procedure.

  • Post transactions and investigation of any payments made without remittances.

  • Ensure that cheques received at Central Office are posted accordingly.

  • Record manual payments taken by the sites, posting adjustments when necessary.

  • Communicate regularly with other departments within the organisation, such as the accounting team, finance, and treasury, site-based team members, to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts.

  • Work from excel reports and paper remittances, posting payments individually to client accounts.
