Summary
Newstaff Employment is recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a successful company based in Harrow, North London.
This is a temp to perm role.
You will be overseeing the daily activities of two warehouses with main responsibilities related to the receipt, storge and dispatch of products.
Working closely with the Operations Manager and the Warehouse Manager.
Skills Required:
• Previous warehouse operative experience
• A fork lift truck licence is required
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Must be availabe immediately as the role is temp to perm
The Role: You will be overseeing the daily activities of two warehouses with main responsibilities related to the receipt, storage and dispatch of products.
Responsibilities to include:
• Receiving consignments and overseeing the offloading of various containers containing stock and custom items.
• Responsible for the timely preparation for all outgoing orders.
• The safe operation of the fork-lift and other manual handling equipment
• The administration of related warehouse and operational paperwork.
• Organise and maintain stock and the storage areas within the warehouse
• Perform random stock checks as requested by operations / accounts.
• Maintenance and presentation of warehouses and the surrounding areas..
• Oversee the supervision and H&S issues concerning temporary staff.
• Responsible for first aid equipment within the warehouses.
• Report issues concerning site security, cleaning, and pest control
Monday to Friday 8 am to 4.30 pm with half an hour lunchbreak
Pay rate: £12.75 per hour
