Persona: Agile (1 – 2 days per week in the office, 3-4 days per week on site or from home)

Salary: £47,135 - £52,000 depending on experience plus £1,300 Essential Car User Allowance

L&Q are looking for a Delivery Programme Lead with experience in the project management of Major Works Planned Maintenance & Refurbishment. This key role reports to the Partnership Manager and will be part of our East Region delivery team, covering properties / sites in East London and Essex.
The role involves the day-to-day management of large scale Planned Improvement Works programmes via Delivery Partner contractors. Works may include Kitchen and Bathroom upgrades, replacement of window & door replacements, roofing, building fabric repairs, Cyclical Decorations, M&E upgrading programmes and energy efficiency retrofit works etc.

To be successful in the role you will need to be a team player and able to demonstrate the following experience and attributes:

• Direct experience of successfully managing contractors to deliver large scale workstreams safely, to the required quality standards and within the agreed Budget and planned Timescales, whilst achieving high levels of Customer Satisfaction.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a partnering environment with our Delivery Partner contractors, internal L&Q departments and other team members and key stakeholders to achieve all requirements of your designated works programmes. (Note: Previous experience of working under a Partnering form of contract would be an advantage).

• Willingness and ability to take ‘ownership’ of your designated workstreams – identifying any delays or blockages and pro-actively agreeing / implementing mitigation measures.

• Relevant technical experience in planned maintenance and property upgrading works (Internals and External)

• Knowledge of Health & Safety and CDM Regulations. Being vigilant on site and willing to challenge any shortfalls.

• Ability to agree quality benchmarks, closely monitor quality of works on site to ensure the required standards are achieved, challenge any shortfall in quality and to sign off work elements upon satisfactory completion.

• Ability to identify and instruct legitimate Variations to the agreed scope of works as and when they arise.

• Ability to effectively chair regular (weekly) progress update meetings with our Delivery Partner contractors – ensuring that outputs and actions are recorded and complied with by all parties.

• Strong customer service experience in dealing directly with Residents with empathy and pro-actively resolving any issues / complaints within required timescales. Ability to liaise effectively and work collaboratively with our Delivery Partner contractors and our L&Q Customer Service team to drive up levels of customer engagement and satisfaction.

• Strong organisational, time management and prioritising abilities.

• Good project administration, monitoring, tracking and report writing skills.

• Effective communication and influencing skills at all levels with all stakeholders.

• Good IT skills – Word, Excel (Advanced), Outlook.
