We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Climber/Team Leader (LBS-008) to join our dynamic outdoor adventure team. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of climbing experience and will be enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge with others. As a Lead Climber, you will be responsible for guiding climbers of various skill levels on exhilarating climbing expeditions while ensuring their safety and enjoyment throughout the journey. Your role will involve planning and executing climbing activities, evaluating weather conditions, and managing climbing equipment to ensure optimal safety. You will also play a crucial part in fostering a positive team environment, motivating team members, and ensuring that everyone is trained and prepared for their climbing experiences. This position demands a mix of leadership skills and technical climbing expertise, making it perfect for those who thrive in challenging outdoor settings and possess a love for adventure. Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of climbers on various climbing expeditions.
Plan and organize climbing routes while considering safety and environmental conditions.
Conduct safety briefings and ensure all team members are well-prepared for climbs.
Inspect and maintain climbing gear and equipment for safety and functionality.
Provide hands-on training and development for team members of varying skill levels.
Evaluate weather conditions and make real-time decisions to ensure the safety of all participants.
Foster a positive team culture and encourage communication among team members.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of climbing experience in a variety of environments.
Proven experience in a leadership role within outdoor settings.
Certification in Wilderness First Aid or higher, with CPR training preferred.
Strong understanding of climbing safety protocols and emergency procedures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with team members and participants.
Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions in changing environments.
Passion for outdoor activities and a commitment to promoting safe climbing practices.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £19.94
