Canary Wharf, London

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Contract Type: Full time, 40 hours per week across 5 out of 7 days, Monday - Sunday, including occasional evenings

Our client is a dynamic company dedicated to creating large-scale installation theatres and studios that serve as contemporary destinations for world-class entertainment. With a focus on providing exceptional audience experiences, they are preparing to launch the Canary Wharf Theatre, which will host the world premiere of "The Hunger Games: On Stage" in Autumn 2025. They are now seeking an accomplished and motivated Facilities and Technical Manager to join their team and lead this exciting project.

They are looking for an experienced, hard-working and motivated Facilities and Technical Manager to lead the launch of the Canary Wharf Theatre and its on-site restaurant, which will open as the home to the world premiere of"The Hunger Games: On Stage" in October 2025. They will be an integral part in leading the project to fit out the venue and build its Health and Safety and compliance systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and manage all aspects of the theatre's buildings management, maintenance and technical delivery within the designated budget.

- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards, including the management of risk assessments and compliance systems.

- Supervise and support the facilities team, ensuring high-quality support for visiting productions and artists.

- Oversee the maintenance and operational adjustments of the theatre's buildings and technical equipment.

- Act as the main point of contact for resident production crews, facilitating smooth performance delivery.

Ideal Candidate:

- Demonstrable experience in managing a facilities or technical department within an arts environment.

- Strong understanding of Health and Safety procedures and compliance regulations.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

- Proven ability to lead a team, while managing multiple priorities effectively.
