Hours: 36 per week, 39 weeks sessional
Craiglockhart Primary School Early Learning Class are excited to be recruiting for the position of EYO. We provide 20 full time spaces during term time. The early learning class is within the school so has access to halls, the school library and the playground.
We are looking to recruit an experienced Early Years Officer to join our team on a permanent basis. We are particularly keen to recruit an early educator who has a sound understanding of play and upholds the view that all children are unique. The successful candidate will have significant relevant experience of working within an early years environment and have a passion for early learning and working in partnership with children and families. They will be an effective team member who contributes to the ethos and values of our setting through good communication and professional discussion, using their training and knowledge to demonstrate their enthusiasm for Early Years
The successful candidate will be leading 2 EYPs, an EELCA, an EYA and our Domestic Assistant. The EYO is supported and led by the Principal Teacher and Head Teacher.
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.
