As an ambassador for Technology Enabled Care, you will be the go to person for residents, their families/carers and internal colleagues alike to identify the technology that may be able to support or enhance people’s lives.

Undertaking assessments either in customers’ homes or on a desktop basis, you will be innovative in helping find technology solutions and matching these to individual situations. You will be a confident and professional communicator from providing appropriate information, understanding and answering questions & concerns to explaining recommendations.

A well organised and effective time manager, you will co-ordinate your busy workload of installing, maintaining and removing Telecare equipment, meeting the timeliness and quality standards our customers and accreditation body expect. Keeping accurate records is important also and you will use your IT skills to support this.

You will have an excellent knowledge of telecare products and be curious about product innovations & emerging technology. Developing and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of what is happening in the Telecare arena, especially with the greater advent of digital technology is essential.

A great team player, you will support Telecare colleagues to build their knowledge, confidence and experience in installing, operating, adjusting and maintaining Telecare equipment. Promoting public and staff awareness of the benefits of Technology Enabled Care will also be an important part of your role.

Depending upon the needs of the service, staff in Hybrid roles will typically work from home for up to 40-60% of the time where the needs of the service can still be met.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. It is an offence therefore to apply if you are barred from working with protected adults. In addition to this, if you have lived or worked in any country outside the UK in the past 10 years, there may be a requirement for an overseas police check.

This post requires Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) registration. You must currently have registration or eligibility to apply from commencement of employment (you must apply to register within the first 3 months of employment to ensure registration is complete within 6 months of starting in your role).
