Full Time - must be flexible and can work 1 in 4 weekends.

Job Description

As a Residential Care Manager, your primary responsibility is to oversee and facilitate the delivery of high-quality care services to residents. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that residents receive personalised care, assistance, and support while also coordinating the efforts of the care team to maintain a safe and nurturing environment. You will be compassionate and empathetic, have excellent leadership and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Liaison with the Home Manager and the DM as required to ensure the effective operation of the unit.
Coordinate and oversee the care provided to residents, ensuring it is personalised, person-centred, and delivered with the utmost compassion and respect.
Organise the care team for the shift, delegate care based on your knowledge of the residents and team levels of skills and abilities.
Work with the Deputy Manager to ensure accurate assessment of dependency and effective and timely delivery of care.
Communicate with external professionals regarding care delivery and attend reviews/meetings/rounds when appropriate or requested.
Competent in administering medication.
Monitor and maintain the highest quality of care, compliance with care standards, and regulatory requirements.
Build and maintain positive relationships with residents' families and serve as a point of contact for their inquiries and concerns.
Assist with record-keeping, maintain resident records, and ensure documentation is accurate and up to date.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience

Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
Must have experience in a care home environment.
Flexible in approach.
Highly motivated.
Relevant experience in a care coordination or supervisory role.
Strong organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
