Summary

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Administrator to join our Safeguarding team at the Archdiocese of Liverpool. This position is an administration-focused role, supporting essential safeguarding processes and compliance across the Archdiocese for clergy, paid workers, volunteers, and diocesan organisations.

Key duties will include:

-Managing and processing DBS applications and ensuring quality control across all stages.
-Maintaining and updating secure databases, records, and
internal systems in line with legal and statutory requirements.
-Liaising with parishes and other stakeholders to ensure volunteer records and safeguarding documents are current and compliant.
-Handling enquiries via phone, email, and face-to-face with professionalism and discretion.
-Coordinating administrative support for safeguarding events such as training sessions and DBS clinics.

To thrive in this role, you should have experience of the following:

-Experience handling administrative procedures in a busy, multi-site organisation.
-Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook).
-Strong organisational and time-management skills with a keen attention to detail.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work with stakeholders at all levels.
-The ability to maintain strict confidentiality and demonstrate empathy and sensitivity in your work.

The role is part time, 21 hours per week, to be worked Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9.00am-5.00pm with flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends.
