Summary

To undertake a refuse or recycling collection service for our domestic and trade customers, be responsible for a sweeping area schedule, litterpicking and depot duties.

• Manually collect wheel bins in variety, sacks or special collections, collect and sort recyclables on rounds or in depot, empty litter bins either singly or as part of a crew
• Ensure that allocated tasks are safely and efficiently completed
• Manually sweep using pedestrian sweeper, butt barrow, broom or petrol blower, litter pick
• Wash down vehicle
• Comply with appropriate statutory requirements, Council policies and procedures including Health and Safety, security, reporting concerns to the appropriate person
• Wash down vehicles and equipment as required
• Actively support the Councils Equal Opportunities Policy
• Contribute to the overall aims and targets of the Works Unit, appreciate and support the role of other team members
• Be aware of, take part in the Works Unit performance management framework and participate in training and development activities as required
• Undertake any other similar duties as required to form part of a flexible work team
