About the role

We are seeking a Head of Safety & Compliance to lead and shape the Trust’s approach to patient safety, clinical effectiveness, health & safety, and regulatory compliance. This is a pivotal role within our Clinical Governance function, where you will be the subject matter expert, ensuring our services are safe, effective, and responsive.

You will oversee our specialist patient safety, clinical effectiveness and health & safety teams, and ensure full compliance with CQC standards. Your work will directly impact the quality of care we provide, helping us to continuously improve and innovate.

Main duties are;
• To support the Associate Director of Clinical Governance with delivering core Clinical Governance functions to the Trust.
• To manage and lead teams to deliver the functions, in alignment with the Trust objectives, using and analytical, research and innovative approach using effective management/leadership skills to deliver through the Clinical Governance teams.
• To be the expert in the specialist area for Patient safety, Health & Safety and Regulatory compliance within the Trust and tooversee the delivery of all aspects of safety and compliance, through specialist teams within the Clinical Governance function within the Trust.
• To use systems available to identify, monitor and improve the Trusts in meeting regulatory requirements. Where possible, aligning and triangulating functions for efficiency and effectiveness.
