Summary
Job Description
Witherspoon Motor Services Mechanics are required to repair and maintain different types of vehicles, such as SUV’s, High Performance Vehicles, Camper Vans (i.e VW Transporter), and classic cars. They perform restorative and preventative work on gears, brakes, engine, air conditioning, security features, fuel pump, etc. Test new vehicles to find and diagnose faults and carry out routine servicing of cars.
Witherspoon Motor Services Mechanics usually performs many of the following tasks:
• Reading technical drawings.
• Advising customers about technical issues.
• Testing vehicles.
• Using diagnostic equipment.
• Replacing faulty parts.
Skills
• Having good manual dexterity with an attention to detail.
• Being able to work alone with a good work ethic.
• Having a suitable fitness level.
• Being able to follow instructions and be a team player.
• Having good communication skills with out of the box thinking to solve issues.
• Having excellent knowledge about motor technology.
• Being methodical and organised
• Having good concentration.
• Being able to work to strict deadlines.
• Having strong interest in motor vehicles.
