Summary

Opportunity Overview

We are looking for an inspiring Teaching Fellow in Graphic Design. You will have a strong professional profile as a Motion Graphics specialist and Graphic Designer along with teaching experience within these areas. A background in commercial graphic design, working to expected standards is essensial .You will be focused upon providing students with the skills and knowledge to adapt and thrive within the industry.

You will be required to deliver and contribute to the BA (Hons) Graphic Design programme across all levels specifically within the area of motion graphics.

You will be joining an academic team with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality graphic design provision who provide an environment where live projects and work experience opportunities ensure industry ready creatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design teaching materials and deliver them across a range of modules or within a subject area.
  • Supervise student projects, including, where appropriate, field trips, placements, and postgraduate projects.
  • Engage in scholarly activity linked to teaching and learning.
  • Take a lead in own area of expertise, including leadership of modules.

About the School or Department

Knowledge of all aspects of graphic design would be beneficial as you will be contributing across a range of modules. You will have a skillset within the following areas - typography, branding, brand communication, advertising, experiential and motion design. You will also have a strong working knowledge of the Adobe CC suite especially After Effects. Although not essential, experience of Adobe Premier,

Experience and knowledge of software packages - Cinema 4D and Blender would be desirable.
