Summary

The Community Partnership Team are looking to recruit a Community Assistant for 30 hours per week on a Fixed Term Contract for 6 months.

We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and proactive individual for this post based at West Bromwich Community Centre, Gayton Road West Bromwich B71 1QS.

In this hands-on role, you’ll be the welcoming face of the centre, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

The duties of the post include:

Dealing with the general public daily.
Working in a small team to ensure the delivery of services at the centre.
Responsibility for health and safety compliance, opening and closing the community centre, taking bookings, setting up rooms for user groups, and clearing.
Some administrative duties and cash handling will also be involved.
About you:

This role requires someone with excellent customer service skills. There is some evening (until 10pm) and weekend working involved and so flexibility is required. The qualification requirements are GCSE English & Maths.
