Summary
The Role
We are very excited to be launching our Social Care Academy in September! Our Academy will support the learning and development of our social work students, apprentices, and newly qualified social workers, as well as promote learning and development across the social care workforce. Our Practice Educators will support newly qualified social workers undertaking their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment through direct observation, thematic learning, and assessment of practice in line with established competencies within the programme.
You would be joining us at an exciting time of improvement and innovation; as well as launching our Academy, our Practice Approach, Building Connections, sees us continue to embed restorative practice with a relational approach and a trauma- informed lens.
Our Practice Educators will work closely with the Academy Manager and social work teams across the Directorate, to ensure that Academy learners are equipped to practice effectively and well supported on their development journeys.
About You
You will have significant social work experience which includes direct experience of supervising social workers or social work students. You will be passionate about learning and development, and have a proven track record of effective assessment of social care practice. You will hold an in-depth knowledge of relational and trauma-informed practice approaches and be a skilled communicator.
We are looking for one full-time and one part-time Practice Educator, so if you think this could be you, we’d love to hear from you!
