Summary
The Tissue Viability team play a strategic role within University Hospitals Sussex and being part of the team requires innovation, passion, and determination. Providing expert treatment, advice, consultation, support and guidance to patients, carers, healthcare professionals whilst working as a highly skilled, expert, advanced, and autonomous practitioner liaising with the multi-disciplinary teams to promote and provide seamless pathways of care. The post holder will evaluate current treatment plans to improve clinical outcomes improving quality, health care outcomes, and service delivery. Work collaboratively with internal and external agencies across professional and organisational boundaries and the local health economies. Initiate and facilitate audit and research that aims to collect evidence to support and strengthen clinical practice and to enhance knowledge and understanding of wound healing. Responsible for the capture of data and analysis of clinical care to ensure all patient records are clinically accurate. The post holder will be responsible for assessing the educational needs of the workforce within University Hospitals Sussex and delivering a collaborative education strategy with suitable evaluation of learning needs. Develop the service for the future ensuring sustainable growth whilst maintaining standards of specialist care. Innovate and change current practice through the delivery of appropriate education and training to meet service needs
