This is a rare & exciting opportunity for an IT professional to come and join our IT tech team. The post holders will work within a tech “family” who have a wealth of skills and knowledge in a wide and varied technical landscape that helps deliver the council’s core service to the citizens of Leicestershire – the inhouse team look after everything from security, networking, desktop design, configuration & deployment through to on-prem/cloud infrastructure solutions.
About the Role
We are looking for talented forward-thinking individual to help shape and strengthen LCC IT systems and services, as we continue our IT maturity journey. This role will be within Network Services, primarily focused on Cloud and Identity technologies along with Artificial Intelligence (AI). Leicestershire County Council are aligned to the Microsoft cloud architecture and consume Office 365 and Azure services and these will form a key element of the role. Another aspect of the role will be PowerShell scripting for all areas of IT
About you
To apply for this role you should:
- Have a sound technical background and be willing to learn and keep on top of new innovations in technology, particularly within this space.
- Know how to communicate with service users both internally and externally as well as key suppliers and partners.
- Work independently performing day to day tasks in a manor to ensure continuity and quality of service.
- Work as part of a team and be able to take instruction and guidance from senior colleagues.
- Take on new challenges and work within a high-performance team to deliver high quality outcomes.
