Salary: ?15.00 - ?17.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Overview:
We are looking for a highly skilled Prototype Exhaust Fabricator to join a dynamic team specializing in the development and fabrication of high-performance exhaust systems. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of working with stainless steel and titanium, with a focus on prototype and bespoke manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
* Fabricate custom exhaust components including manifolds, catalysts, and mufflers from scratch or verbal instruction
* Accurately interpret engineering drawings and CAD data
* Roll cones, develop flat blanks, and hand-form sheet metal
* Perform high-quality TIG and MIG welding on stainless steel and titanium
* Carry out welding in inert atmosphere (glovebox) for titanium where required
* Operate fabrication tools such as rolling machines, seam welders, and presses
Essential Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years' experience in high-level fabrication, preferably within exhaust or motorsport sectors
* Advanced TIG and MIG welding skills with stainless steel and titanium
* Strong sheet metal and hand-forming expertise in a prototype environment
* Ability to work from verbal instructions and minimal documentation
* High attention to detail with a focus on precision and aesthetics
* Familiarity with fabrication tools including grinders, rolling machines, and welders
