Summary
Fabric Engineer – FM Service Provider - Knightsbridge, London - Monday - Friday - Up to £38,000 CBW Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for a Fabric Engineer to carry out planned and reactive commercial maintenance across a static site in Knightsbridge . The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and have a proven track record in commercial building maintenance.
This position would be ideal for a Fabric Engineer currently in a similar position who is keen on progression. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £38,000 with a potential route into further career progression.
Hours of Work & Package Information
- Monday - Friday
- 08:00 - 17:00

Key duties & Responsibilities
- Ensuring all work areas are prepared with safety in mind as well as protecting the current fabric of the building.
- Carry out routine fabric plant checks as directed by the Site Manager/Client.
- Carry out special cleaning of areas as directed by the Site Manager/Client.
- Carpentry works include the skilled use of both hand & electric tools.
- Develop a good working relationship with all members of staff and client’s staff
- Ensure that the client fabric storage areas are maintained and kept safe and secure.
- Ensure that comprehensive Fabric maintenance records are maintained
- Undertake routine weekly checks as detailed in the site logbooks
- Ensure the loading and unloading of stock, and appropriate and safe storage of relevant equipment, spares and deliveries.
- Ensure that all reactive tasks logged are carried out to meet and exceed expectations and agreed service level agreements
- Undertake tasks such as, but not exhaustive to repair / replacement of Tiles / Wall repairs / Locks / Door furniture / Hang Doors / Install & repair Architrave / Plinths / Floors / Ceilings / Painting and decorating of both internal and external areas.
- Record and report any defects identified.
- Carry out major & minor repairs on assets and complete report documentation. (Paper or electronic as required by the contract).
- Liaise with the Client, where required, to minimise inconvenience associated with the maintenance or repair service provided.
- Ad hoc tasks as directed by your line manager
Technical Requirements
- Carry out Fabric inspections to standards provided
- Safe use of Chemicals / Paints / Adhesives and other associated substances
- Perform sanitation & sewage tasks if requested.
Desirable Criteria
- Qualified to C&G or NVQ Leve 1 and 2 in a trade (Carpentry, Painting and decorating etc.)
