Summary
We’re currently undergoing recruitment for FLT Operatives for our prestigious and dynamic client in the Newtown area.
Pitman shifts: (Working 5 days Wk/1 & 2 Days Wk/2 rotating)
£13.50 per hour during training, then once completed, rate will increase to £14.85 per hour.
06:00 - 18:00
Monday – Friday
06:45 – 15:30

Main roles and responsibilities:
Operate counterbalance, reach, or other forklift types (as required) to transport goods around the facility.
Load and unload deliveries from lorries, vans, or containers.
Ensure all goods are handled and stored safely to prevent damage.
Support inventory control by recording goods moved or stored.
Assist in stock checks or audits and maintain accurate records.
Use Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or manual processes for stock updates.
Pick and pack orders as needed, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare pallets for dispatch by securing and labelling appropriately.
Keep the workspace clean and organized.
Conduct daily checks on forklifts to ensure safety and report any issues.
Follow company health and safety procedures, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Comply with site rules for safe operation and storage practices.
Work as part of a team to meet operational targets and deadlines.
Support other tasks as needed, such as manual handling, machine operation, or assisting colleagues.
Skills and qualifications:
Valid FLT license/certification for the appropriate truck type (e.g., RTITB, ITSSAR, or NPORS accredited).
Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
Understanding of health and safety procedures.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Previous experience in a similar role.
Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
Multi-skilled (experience in manual handling or operating additional machinery).
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (manual handling may be required).
Physically fit to perform tasks involving repetitive movement, standing, or operating machinery for extended periods.
