Information for the role of Internal Events CoordinatorSalary: £23,123 per annumPermanent, part-time role29 hours per week An excellent opportunity to join a prestigious organisation in a varied and fulfilling role in a small, friendly team. Your day-to day-duties will include:Responding to enquiries for internal meetings, students’ private dinners and private Formal Halls, and Downing students’ societies, in accordance with the policies and guidelines established by the Head of Commercial and liaising with the organisers.Managing meeting rooms and facilities ensuring best use of space.Administering all College events including preparing guest lists, menus etc. in liaison with the Fellows’ Steward and booking accommodation, when necessary, on Kinetics.Co-ordinating the booking arrangements including preparing function sheets, liaising with College Fellows, students and Departments on their specific requirements, and checking details.In the absence of any members of the Conference and Events Team, to liaise and take on responsibilities to ensure the smooth running of the Conference and Events operations.To be considered for this role, you will need to have:Demonstratable experience of selling and delivering conferences and events in a comparable venue.A thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office desktop applications.Excellent customer service skills.Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, both face to face and over the telephone.Educated to at least GCSE standard or equivalent. <u>Details of the role</u>The post of Internal Events Coordinator is a permanent, part-time role. Applications are invited from suitably experienced candidates.The hours of work are to be worked over four days from 9.00am to 4.45pm, or similar, with a daily unpaid 30-minute lunch break. The annual salary is £23,123 per annum for 29 hours per week (Step 36 on the College Salary Scale).In addition to the salary, we offer an attractive benefits package.
