Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 9am until 5:30pm.
Working Policy: Flexible hybrid-working policy, with a minimum of two days a week from our Chester head office (after probation).

About the HR Shared Services Officer Role

As a HR Shared Services Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the People & Culture function by ensuring smooth and efficient HR operations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, managing payroll processes within deadlines, and handling employment reference requests. Additionally, you will contribute to HR reporting and compliance while identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance the employee experience.

This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can collaborate effectively with the wider People & Culture team while keeping up to date with employment legislation and HR best practices.



Responsibilities:


Ensure accurate and timely HR administration (offers, contracts, leavers).
Conduct employment reference request.
Manage successful processing of payroll within the pre-set monthly schedule of activities, ensuring data is keyed accurately and within cut off deadline dates.
Maintain and develop HR reporting and data integrity in Sage People.
Act as a Sage People Super User, providing training and support.
Proactively contribute to People processes and procedure improvements to enhance the HR Shared Services provision and customer experience.
Adhere to SLAs, ensuring efficient HR Shared Services delivery.
Produce and distribute correspondence related to annual salary review and bonus, along with any other ad hoc requests as and when required.
Provide professional query resolution and customer service.
Assist with purchasing processes in SAP.
Stay updated on legislation and policies to provide first-line ER advice.
Coordinate holiday carryover.
Ensure GDPR compliance in handling personal data.
Provide key data for MI reporting, analyse results, and provide recommendations, where required.
Coordinate holiday carry over, ensuring accuracy of holiday data.
Work collaboratively with the wider People & Culture function to ensure consistency in service and standards.
Compliance with GDPR at all times when managing, processing, and sharing personal data.




Skills & Experience

The ideal the HR Shared Services will possess the following qualifications and experience:


Previous HR administration experience.
Ability to think outside of the box when actioning key processes and dealing with customer enquiries.
Experience of drafting correspondence to a high level of quality and accuracy.
Strong Microsoft Office skills (in particular, Excel and Word) and the ability to adapt to different software.


Although standouts will also have:


Relevant industry qualification, such as a CIPD L3 qualification or degree in a relevant subject (e.g. Human Resources, Business)
Experience of working within a Shared Services environment.
