Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs (SEN)?
We're partnering with a highly respected independent SEN school in NG23 (Lincolnshire/Nottinghamshire) which supports students aged 5-19 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related needs. This nurturing, inclusive setting is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time and make a lasting impact. The school are open to an ASAP start, or September 2025 for the right person.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to students' individual needs.
- Assisting with the delivery of structured and engaging lessons.
- Supporting students' emotional wellbeing and encouraging social development.
- Promoting positive behaviour and creating a calm learning environment.
- Helping students build independence and life skills through daily routines.
- Contributing to progress tracking and keeping detailed records.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in education or a similar role eg. youth work, probation officer, police work, care work, mentoring, support work, SEN support (child or adult).
- Confidence and resilience when supporting students with challenging behaviour, even if you don't have significant experience.
