FJA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the utilities industry for an experienced Senior/Principal Human Factors Consultant to strengthen their team.
Location: Cumbria/Warrington - flexible on location.

Senior/Principal Human Factors Consultant responsibilities:
• Responsible for scoping and executing large, technical, and complex Human Factors assessments that are proportionate and fit for purpose, while overseeing and managing small project teams.
• A core aspect of this role involves enhancing team capabilities through training and mentoring, offering guidance in critical technical areas, and driving innovation to support business growth.
• Operational claim identification and substantiation
• HF design support
• HF project integration management
• HF support on safety assessment
• Human error identification
• Application of HF methods
• Resolution of operational issues
• Derivation and management of requirements
• HF verification and validation
• Application of a modern standard HF techniques and relevant good practice
Senior/Principal Human Factors Consultant requirements:
• Proven track record of leading and implementing Human Factors support for nuclear and other high-hazard projects.
• A degree-level qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Human Factors, Ergonomics, Psychology, or Industrial Design).
• Achieved or actively pursuing chartership with the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors.
• Excellent technical report writing skills
• Detailed understanding and application of UK regulations and standards
• Knowledge of regulatory regimes
• Regulatory interaction
• Willing to travel to/ and work on clients’ sites
