Summary
This school is seeking a reliable and enthusiastic DT/Art Technician to support the smooth running of the DT and Art departments. This is an exciting opportunity for a practical individual who enjoys working in a creative environment and wants to make a difference behind the scenes. Starting September 2025.
Duties as a DT/Art Technician:
Preparing and maintaining materials, tools and equipment for practical lessons in Art and DT (including woodwork, textiles, graphics, and food technology if applicable).
Assisting teaching staff with lesson preparation and supporting student work where appropriate.
Ensuring health and safety standards are followed and maintained in classrooms and prep areas.
Managing stock, ordering supplies, and maintaining inventories.
Supporting displays of student work and setting up exhibitions or showcases as required.
Ideal DT/Art Technician:
Have practical skills and experience working with tools, materials and/or art equipment (training will be provided if needed).
Be well organised, flexible, and able to manage time effectively.
Be aware of health and safety regulations relevant to workshops and art studios.
Work well both independently and as part of a team as DT/Art Technician.
Be committed to supporting student learning in a creative setting.
