What You’ll Be Doing:
As the Assistant Banqueting Manager, you'll play a vital role in the planning and execution of events, from setup to service, ensuring everything runs smoothly. You’ll be responsible for supervising staff, maintaining high standards, and delivering seamless experiences for every guest.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate event setup in compliance with health and safety regulations.
Ensure all guests receive prompt, professional, and courteous service.
Supervise food service and maintain quality presentation throughout events.
Keep banquet rooms clean, organized, and visually appealing.
Ensure all equipment, utensils, and service items are prepared and in place.
Communicate effectively with the team to ensure smooth event execution.
Recruit, train, schedule, and manage banquet staff including servers, bartenders, and support personnel.
Motivate and lead the team to deliver outstanding service.
Maintain inventory and ensure all necessary supplies are available.
Follow detailed event plans and manage the order of service.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene.

Proven experience in a supervisory role within banqueting, events, or hospitality.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
Attention to detail with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
Knowledge of event planning and food & beverage service standards.
Familiarity with hospitality industry best practices.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including early starts and late finishes.
