About the role

You will be responsible for

  • Develop and own a proactive investment plan to increase self-generation of electricity across the estate.
  • Manage the financials, forecasting and budgeting for solar-related works.
  • Support the Energy Team with the preparation of business cases and securing necessary approvals for energy projects.
  • Align solar installations with broader property works and manage any project enabling works required.
  • Monitor, resolve, and escalate project risks and issues as appropriate.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered in compliance with Health & Safety legislation, CDM regulations, building regulations, and planning requirements.
  • Ensure all asset data, operations and maintenance (O&M) manuals, and records are updated following installation and project completion.
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of completed capital projects to confirm that objectives and KPIs are met, and that installation and commissioning are of high quality.
  • Collaborate with Engineering colleagues to define and implement maintenance plans and design standards.
  • Work alongside our procurement team to ensure we have the right supply chain and demonstrate best value.
  • Continuously monitor and ensure statutory compliance across the estate.

You will need

  • Proven experience delivering capital projects in a fast-paced, operationally active environment
  • Direct involvement in specifying, procuring, and managing the installation of solar PV or other M&E systems
  • Experience integrating renewable energy projects into existing building infrastructure and estate plans
  • Track record of managing contractors and external partners to deliver high-quality outcomes
