Part-time Personal Assistant
A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF
I am a 54-year-old man and I live in the Church Village area of Rhondda Cynon Taff. My interests are varied and I enjoy going bowling, cinema, swimming and the gym.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
I am looking to employ a Personal Assistant to provide me with one to one support in the community and at home.
HOURS OF WORK
There are 5 hours a week available.
Hours of work can be discussed but these will generally be split into 2 – 3 sessions.
On the 2nd Monday of every month, I attend a disability group in Cowbridge. This session will be 7pm-10pm.
RATE OF PAY
£13.50 per hour
£0.40p per mile mileage
TASKS CAN INCLUDE
Going to different places that I enjoy, i.e. cinema, bowling, swimming and the gym
To take me to different venues in the car
To support and encourage me to look for other activities within the area that I can try out
Attending activities at Innovate
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
A person who is dependable and arrives on time
A person who respects the privacy and confidentiality of working in someone else’s home
Someone with a good sense of humour.
Someone who is outgoing, energetic and likes to have fun
Someone who is confident, mature and has patience
Someone who can be flexible
Someone with experience is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
Car driver with access to own car
ABOUT THE JOB
This position is subject to satisfactory references and a DBS Disclosure (Police Check), which must be completed prior to the commencement of employment. The cost of this check will be covered by the Local Authority.
All necessary checks will be conducted to verify that any candidate has the legal right to work in the UK before employment begins.
Although this is a part-time role, it is a legitimate position requiring the submission of a National Insurance number. Employment will commence under an initial trial period.
Wages will be paid on a four-weekly / monthly basis and appropriate holiday pay will be provided.
