Summary
We are excited to be recruiting into our Heritage team. Thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) we are transforming Kingsley Hall - our charity’s base and Grade 2* listed building - into a welcoming space that will provide training, support and housing for young people who have been homeless, at risk of homelessness or are leaving care. We are also delivering a 5-year Activity Plan exploring the history of the building and the relevant themes, running creative heritage projects, gaining skills, knowledge and experience linked to the heritage sector.
As part of this exciting Heritage project, we are excited to offer a 6-month trainee role, with a focus on supporting a Heritage Film making project with Young People as participants.

We are a leading youth homelessness charity based in the Southwest, working with over 1,500 young people. What you will be doing:
• Helping run Heritage film making workshops.
• Use content from Heritage research to create an exciting documentary.
• Take responsibility to either produce the film, offer technical support or assistant direct the film.
• Work as part of a creative team to deliver engaging training and activity which supports young people to share ideas, learn new skills and develop creative content.
• Support Young People’s involvement as participants and ensure their voices are heard.
• Help the Heritage team at 1625ip share the stories of Kingsley Hall.
You will be in the Heritage Team, which sits within our Routes Team and your manager will be The Senior Heritage Activities Co-ordinator.

• Hours per week: 22.5 (this represents 60%- 3 days a week)
• Contract type: Fixed Term for 6 months
• Pay: £24,294 per annum (£14,576.40 pro rata)
• The location: You will be based in central Bristol, close to Bristol’s main train and bus stations as well as the vibrant city centre.
